Preparing Files

To ensure a smooth and professional printing process at Prismatize.com, we recommend starting your design with one of our downloadable templates. These templates include preset guidelines for bleed, trim, and safe zones and are available for popular applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, CorelDRAW, and more.

If you're submitting artwork without a template, please refer to the checklist below to ensure your files meet our production standards. Files not meeting the requirements may delay your order or require revision before approval.

Accepted File Format: We strongly prefer files in .PDF format. All major design software supports PDF export. We also accept high-resolution JPG and PNG files.

Color

Files must be in CMYK color mode for accurate color output. Files submitted in RGB or Pantone will be converted to CMYK, which may lead to minor color variation. We recommend using the GRACoL2013_CRPC6.icc color profile.

File Size

Design files must include a 3 mm bleed on all sides. For example, a 90 × 50 mm card should be submitted as 96 × 56 mm. This ensures proper edge trimming during production.

Crop Marks

Do not include crop or registration marks. These may be mistakenly printed as part of the design.

Fonts & Text

Use a minimum font size of 7 pt for legibility. Convert all text to outlines (Illustrator, InDesign) or flatten layers (Photoshop). For Publisher or Word files, ensure all fonts and assets are embedded.

Resolution

Images must be at least 300 DPI to ensure high print quality. Lower resolutions may appear blurry or pixelated.

Safety Zone

Keep all important elements at least 3 mm from the edge of the final trim size to avoid accidental cutting.

Spelling & Grammar

Proofread all artwork carefully. Prismatize is not responsible for typos or grammatical errors in submitted designs.

Borders

If your design includes borders, maintain a minimum distance of 5 mm from all edges. For best results, we recommend at least 6 mm (0.25") to avoid visual imbalance caused by trimming shifts.

Orientation

Ensure both front and back sides of your file share the same orientation (portrait or landscape) to prevent misalignment. Folded panels should be properly aligned before submission.

Multi-Page Documents

For booklets or catalogs, submit a multi-page PDF with page 1 as the front cover, page 2 as the inside front, and the last page as the back cover. Total page count must be a multiple of 4, with full bleed on all pages.
